5 must see movies

I've decided to come up with a list of films I absolutely adore to recommend. However, in a random/no genre in particular order. Here you have it, 5 must see films Harlynn recommends.

1. Amelie
The movie is based on a very curious, very blunt young lady named Ameile. Keep up with the subtitles, as this film is completely in the French language.

Movie Quote: "At least you'll never be a vegetable. Even artichokes have hearts."

2. Fight Club
If you haven't already, you should definitely pick out this for a personal movie night. One of those films you'll want to watch again (even for those like me, who can't re-watch movies). About a man who struggles with his increasing issue with consumerism and changes in the state of masculinity in American culture. In an attempt to overcome this, he creates an underground fighting club as a radical form of psychotherapy.

Movie Quote: "It's only after we've lost everything that we're free to do anything."

3. Breakfast at Tiffany's

Based in New York about a naive young lady named Holly Golightly...who absolutely adores Tiffany's jewlery. Love, lust, and Audrey Hepburn make this movie what it's known for today.

Movie Quote: "It should take you exactly four seconds to cross from here to that door. I'll give you two."

4. Jingle all the Way

One the kids can enjoy too. Also one to save for the holiday season. Based on a husband/father who forgets to purchase the hottest toy of the year for his kid. He ends up in a disastrous adventure with a mailman he meets along the way (played by Sinbad). Sinbad's character is by far my favorite.

Movie Quote: "We get one day a year to prove we're not screw-ups (to our kids) and what do we do? We screw it up".

5. 8 Mile
If you're an Eminem fan, you've got to see this film (if haven't already). Based on the life of Marshal Mathers previous to his uprising. Showing how he struggled to get where he is now, and the life in the ghetto of Detroit, Michigan.

Movie Quote: "I'm gonna turn around with a great smile, and walk my white ass across 8 mile".

Well of course I re-watch movies, just once in an "every so often". Haha.
