Unimpressed at 21

Once I turned 21 I really started to become unimpressed with myself. I have no job, no car, not even a license. I feel pathetic. I'm not impressed. What would I love to do? I'd love to get this job as a librarian intern at my local library. From there, I'd want to learn how to drive. Get my own place, deck it out with awesome Etsy interior decor, blah blah, etc etc.

In the long run I'd like to be part of a circus. Performing with my hoop, in the air, and fire. Yesterday I got a flyer for a circus school in Illinois. If I can find the perfect classes, I just might be able to change up life. It'd be a big change! Leaving my state, family, and friends. I'd of course make new friends, and get used to the state (which has tons of public transportation). To be honest, happiness is all I can really ask for.

  1. 21 is still so young, make sure you do exactly what you want to do and not what everyone else wants you to!

Please come check out my latest post if you have time :)

  2. hmm! 21 is a kind of a tough age! You are filled with this enormous pressure and you feel you would burst anytime....Don't worry, you will get through it ...you will get what you want :-).. ! keep smiling and yes, do what YOU want to do...
After some years you would look back and smile.

  3. I think you should definitely find a way to take those classes! Finding something you absolutely love and eventually being able to make a living from it...I'm telling you...it's one of the absolute most important things in life IMO. I wish you the best of luck and I know that if you take that route you'll be great! Do it girl! :)

  8. You should follow your heart. It sounds like you would benefit a lot from taking those classes and I would go for it! You have nothing to lose! And very few people know what they want to do/have everything together at 21. I didn't at 21 (and I am in my late 20s now) and still am figuring things out.

  9. Sometimes a big change is needed. We just have to take that step. It can shake up your world and put things into place. Give it a try.

  10. I'm 22 and don't have a license or car either. I know it kind of sucks, but I wouldn't worry too much about it. You maintain a great blog and followers, and that by itself is a huge accomplishment.
Knowing how to drive doesn't determine the value of your accomplishments. I've been told many times my grandma on my mom's side (unfortunately I never got to meet her because she passed away) never had a driver's license or learned to drive at all in her lifetime, even in her thirties & forties!

  11. You are totally not alone! I always feel bad for my husband because he has a legit job and I'm just here. I think interning at the library would be awesome! I hope you get to do that. :)

    1. If you lived in Detroit, we'd be making plans today and having an awesome adventurous photo shoot downtown! Sounds like we both need it. Thanks, I really do hope I get the job. :D

  12. You will get there. Having it all together isn't always what it's cracked up to be either lol! You still find your way you just have to put yourself out there and don't be afraid to take some risks.
