It's been awhile since I've hula hooped. Depression hit me hard, motivation was sucked away. Last night I pushed myself to do the things I love. Including hoop dancing! Also took a trip to JoAnns and stocked up on hemp string. Which means more hemp wraps on the way for the still in progress Etsy shop. Once it's officially open expect a giveaway!

Last month during road rage as a passenger I was flipping off a douche bag that cut us off on the merging lane. While my head hangs out the window, my beloved glasses fly off my face into the speeding traffic. On the freeway. No saving them now.
Luckily I was able to order new prescription frames from EyeBuyDirect. They didn't have frames the same shape or color as my old ones obviously. However, I did come across a darker shade of teal to rock! Within two-weeks they came. Including a cloth for cleaning lens, and a tool for tightening those little screws.
Click here to check out various prescription glasses and sunglasses. Mine are the "Mandi" style. I'll probably be ordering some sun shades for the upcoming summer days. If you've ordered glasses on the web, how was your experience?

Occasionally I come across comics that appear to reflect myself. For instance, a ginger with an unlovable gray cat. The paw in the face in particular. When the opportunity comes that she's actually being held, I'll start talking to her. Next thing you know she puts her paw over my mouth to shut me up. Little ass hole.

Within my years of blogging, I've shown my love for Trrtlz bracelets. They've started out making Turtle beads, eventually creating various animals. During a recent visit to 7/11, I came across Batman and Superman themes! Each color represents a different spiritual meaning. Such as peace, happiness, freedom, etc...the two I picked represent fierce.
Personally I'm more of a Superman fan. On the contrary, I admire the villain's in the Batman series. More than Batman himself! Who's your favorite of the two, Batman or Superman?

Mother's Day is on it's way! As a child care provider, my favorite crafts to do with kids are gifts for the holidays. Currently I care for two toddler girls (ages 3 and 4). Thanks to Pinterest, I came across a tutorial for making plaques with foot or hand prints. No plaster needed! Here's how you can make a lovely, sturdy plaque using a simple salt dough.
- 1cup flour
- 1 cup salt
- 1/2 cup water
Mix ingredients using a fork. Should be about the same consistency as PlayDough.
Mold into desired shape or use to create separate molds. I made one big mold.
Have kids lightly press foot or hand into the dough. When writing I used a straight metal stick, poking not gliding the letters.
Bake at 200•F for 3 hours
If you did one big mold like myself, you'll want to flip and bake an additional hour and a half or so. The bottom and middle front was still a bit soft.
Once it cooled off I used an acrylic pearl coat. Don't waste your time using a paint brush, Created thick streaks, so I switched to a sponge instead.
