Just above lies a window, with Gypsy being a creeper having homicidal thoughts. 

If we still see him come November, we may welcome him into our home. 

I still have yet to name him.

Comfortably Cali

My cuz and his lady crashed at my house after returning from Cali.
Was a spontaneous decision, and new environment for his lady.
One morning I could hear sobs from their room. Hours before a wedding on the agenda.
She was overwhelmed...
No dress to wear, nervous to meet the family,
Coming all the way to Detroit from San Franscisco is a big enough change to adapt to as it is...

Looked through my bundle of dresses in the back of the closet and came across "the one".
Most adorable dress that will never fit me correctly.
Miss.Cali is a tiny gal, and the dress was just her fit.

She was in tears when I handed it to her.
She was even more excited when I asked to do her hair.

We ended up topping off the Fish tail braid with a barrette. The Rose bun was surprisingly easy! Check out the tutorial here.

The Greatest Showman goes Broadway

Last December I was ecstatic to see a movie about the circus origin. To my unpleasant surprise, it happen to also be a musical. 

Not everybody disliked the musical factor. It's announced that The Greatest Showman will be going to Broadway.

According to The Independent, Jackman had spoke on going live long ago.

“We were talking about a live version of the show even before the film came out. There was a discussion at one point in the eight-year journey of this movie of maybe going live first... The musical really works live.”

This excites me because the origin of the circus will be shown for generations to come.

Flirty Birdie

Aerial has been a journey. After getting my foot ran over I became so behind. Depressed thinking I'll never get my abilities back. 

This past week has finally shown progress.

Above is a pose we call "flirty birdie". With any pose, it's exciting when you find your own form and style. Cross of the legs and open hands gives it just the right touch to create the flirtiest of birdies.

Recently I've taken interest in zines. Etsy home page suggestions kept throwing them in my face. One day a particular one caught my eye. So clever, so literal.

Spoke with the artist Rebecca (of BeccaMadeSomething) about how to create a zine.

"My tips to you would be to pick a topic you like—like a lot—and draw and draw and draw. Draw the good ideas and the bad ideas and the batshit insane ideas. Everything you make has value. Even bad work can teach you things." 

Personally I'm more of a writer than a drawer. Questioned how one includes text without it becoming simply a book.

"A zine can have only words and be a zine. A zine can only have pictures and be a zine. The zine is the format through which you share what you want to share. And if anyone gets up your butt about your content, just ignore them. The opinion of a turd is useless"

Rebecca did not, and still does not know me. Yet was kind enough to open up personally. Explained with passion how I can enjoy creating a zine of my own.

Babysitters Club: Tea Party

Toddler girls love to tea party. 

Every little girls toybox always includes a magic wand, Barbie's, and a tea party set. You can't go wrong having such a sophisticated event with a munchkin. Makes them have a sense of maturity and more mindful. 

So bust out the real tea.

They don't mind the taste as much as the fact real tea is being served. 

Ohh, and don't forget some lil crumpets. 

What tea is best to use with children?

Whelp. Aim away from caffine.

Nanny reunion

Just before Lil Micaela, I nannied for two toddler sisters. Ones I had the real tea party with.

Continue occasional care for the youngest. 

The other day I had the honor, first time in awhile.

Voice has slightly changed, she conversates with more understanding.

...because she's a kid now.

While dressing her in the morning I said I was going to get one and wear it next time I see her. 

...I bought a NASA shirt...on the way home. 

Funny part is, I had no intentions to go search for one. Stopped at Target to kill time and browse the dollar section and get my man spray paint.

A close childhood friend of mine inquired about doing a boho and whimsical style fashion shoot for her portfolio.

She took my first hoop shoot back in 2011 at Belle Isle. She began photography while I started hooping that same year. So this past May, we return to the island for another adventurous shoot.
